Sciatica Study Now Underway - Participants Needed
A Double Blind Study is currently being conducted at Bowen Therapy Clinics in conjunction with the Boucher College of naturopathic Medicine and INCAM (The Interdisciplinary Network of Complementary and Alternative Medicine).
Participants are being sought for this study, their treatment is covered by the research grant and they must be between 25 and 55 years old nad have sciatica type symptoms. Please contact Dr. Jilla Kahrobaei ND at 604 608 4295.
We are presently recruiting participants for a clinical trial evaluating the effectiveness of Bowen TherapyTM on sciatica.
Sciatica is defined as unilateral or bilateral pain starting in the buttocks radiating down the posterior leg or legs and possibly into heel and plantar surface of foot. Bowen TherapyTM is a soft tissue therapy used for musculoskeletal pain and inflammation.
If you are between 25-55 years of age, are a resident of Vancouver, BC, have been diagnosed with sciatica within the last two years, and are interested in participating in this study, please call (604)-608-4295 and leave a message to be contacted.
Participation in this study will entitle you to a maximum of 5 Bowen TherapyTM treatments free of charge during the length of the study period.
This study is a collaborative effort between The Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine & Bowen TherapyTM Clinics; funded by The Canadian Interdisciplinary Network for Complementary & Alternative Medicine Research (IN-CAM) and approved by the ethics board of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.
